Couldn't it also just be possible this guy had no ISIS connection or political stance, and just wanted to see people go down with him? Some reports he was going through a divorce... so he easily could have just been in a tailspin and planned to off himself, so he chose to take people out with him?
I think that's the most probable thing, to be honest. Anything else really sounds absurd to me. Libs wouldn't go buy these types of weapons. Rebs wouldn't off their own. This guy doesn't fit any sort of mold of who would carry out something for ISIS, either.

Yeah. Totally. Tons of shooters have been like this. It's not hard to find historical support for this possibility.

Starting to be reported he was going through a divorce, and had lost a 2012 lawsuit against a Las Vegas strip hotel. (no word on which one).

Fair enough. So lets backtrack to the numerous Clinton scandals in the last two years. Whose word are you taking in those instances? The media reports of CNN and MSNBC? Or the various govt agencies?
My point is that there's nothing wrong with commenting on things major media outlets are reporting. It's just a matter of whether to believe them or not.

I mean... people on here are eager to try to make some sort of connection. Grasping at straws is how I see those people reacting, on both sides, in hopes that he was on the other side of the fence so they could use it as ammunition in their next political "discussion."

I'm not a psychologist but I've put in a couple of years with the mentally ill. They don't plan things like this, its usually pretty compulsive. Something changes in their mind, and they react.
This didn't take a lot of planning, but it was calculated over at least a couple of weeks. That takes some sort of motive IMO and that motive is not just making the world burn.
