There are good public schools here, but some of them are almost impossible to get your kids in them.

You can either move in to the area like Signal Mountain which has pretty good schools. Ooltewah has meh schools, not great and not bad either. Downside with Ooltewah is the drive into downtown, it blows. I do it every day right now, but looking to move myself. Hixson has good elementary schools, but meh middle/high school. Cleveland city schools are ok, but a long drive from downtown Chatt. Normal Park are really good, but you got to live in that area or get super lucky with the lottery.

CSLA and CSAS are both very good lottery schools, but you got to win the lottery. It's unlikely to get that.

Irony about the mediocre public schools is there's two of the most prestigious & expensive 'private/boarding' schools in the country located in Chattanooga in Baylor and McCallie
