Smuggle him back and let him get your wife pregnant. Problem solved.

It surely is - but not for the reasons you think it is.

quote:

My wife, mother of an American citizen, had to go through a 2 year, $1500 process to change her student visa to green card.

So, do you associate with anyone actually born here? J/K of course, but it's working out for your wife because she followed the rules, right?

quote:

Our other friend got his green card approved after 18 years.

Sounds like more to this story than meets the eye.

Risk you run when you come into a country illegally baw.

If he had waited in line like everyone else he wouldve been good to go by now

You mean like your friend who illegally crossed the border and stayed here without permission?
Seems there was a larger point made in the OP that folks are ignoring. If prioritization of deportation is based upon cooperative individuals making themselves available to the courts and justice system, obviously the inherent message is DO NOT COOPERATE!

It would seem prioritization should be based on criminality, lassitude and lack of cooperation with authorities. No?

That's what he was going for.

Our other friend got his green card approved after 18 years.

So...why hasn't he received a green card? There's something here not being mentioned.

I don't doubt he's a great guy, but that's not a factor in his legal status. Either he's legally here or not when it comes to deporting him or not. End of story.

The staggering number on financials and logistics and what that does to middle class America and more importantly AA jobs that Tucker Carlson was talking about earlier this week is absolutely incredible.

If those numbers are, in fact, true; they would make Nancy Pelosi wet at least once this year.

This guy might have something on his criminal record that raised a red flag. Otherwise, I can't imagine he was just picked at random out of the millions of illegals in the country, especially if he was an upstanding immigrant.

This is what I tell all the rest of the coaches and parents.

Theis isn't about whether we should be deporting people or not. This is about the bureaucratic laziness on full display. I know others who were allowed to stay for another court date who seriously should have been kicked the frick out.

So you would like us to feel bad for your friend breaking the law? I feel bad for the Christian families in other parts of the world having to hideout because they will be murdered if they are found. They are waiting to do it properly and legal. Not your friend.

Was his court date a removal hearing? I understand it is shitty. How did he end up in a removal hearing?

I was thrown into jail after illegally taking money that wasn't mine. Once security from my company caught me I tried to comply and return all of it. I attended every court date and answered all their questions honestly, and they still threw me in jail.

I'm a good father and husband. I help others in the community and volunteer wherever I am needed. I was just trying to take care of debt incurred due to heavy medical bills. I know I shouldn't have taken the money but I did what I had to do to provide a better future for my family. President Trump sucks for being tough on crime.

Report to ICE? Not sure, but I agree. Which is why is stupid that we have to stifle the court system for obvious transgressions.

Bingo. I didn't fall off the apple card yesterday. I worked in immigration for over a decade and I know this to be true. For an illegal alien with zero criminal history, it is very difficult to show up on the radar and be deported.

Unfortunately "points" don't hold true to the law of the land.

It sucks, man; but it is what it is...
