This, and the injury probably made it worse. I'm not saying he didn't also have other problems - some of those rumors probably have truth to them.

But when a guy simply cannot continue to function the way he's going without being a disaster to himself or the program, it's in everyone's best interest to have them step away temporarily. Think about what this could have done for Tyrann if he had stepped away for a semester to get the help he needed.

Football is hugely important to these guys, but life happens sometimes. You have to handle the important things first.
