There’s been a steady procession of sportfishers headed west just off beach of grand isle. Water slowly coming up with tide but not too bad at this point.

Strong winds away from the center there, good sign.

Still struggling with the organization despite the convection popping off everywhere. Could change quickly I suppose but he's running out of time over the super hot stuff.

Still a day away from land and Harvey went insane off the coast of Texas.

Not saying it will be Harvey at all but let’s not get all cozy right now.

Harvey was moving very slow as well though

Comparing the fear we should have to harvey is laughable

You post as if you are on Nate's team, gets confusing at times.

Y'all need to stop this. People trying to post factual information to let others know what's likely to happen isn't "pulling for the hurricane to be a major one".

We would love it to break up or turn out to sea but that isn't reality. If it looked to be likely to do that we all would be saying so

Is the gulf water that much cooler than Carib? If so, good.

Possible but high end cat 2 isn't likely. Strong cat 1 or weak cat 2 is my prediction but take that with a grain of salt I'm no expert I just stayed at a holiday inn express last night

Can we leave the forecast kind of things to those who know what they are doing please?
Seems we have a lot of folks who are looking at a satellite image and wanting to share their expert opinions now

It's still warm enough. This particular area he's over is the deepest and warmest in the Atlantic basin though. This rapid forward motion is a blessing.

People are asking us to fear a forecast which currently does not exist

Well, that isn’t a big drop.

But I’ll take it!

It's anfricking message board. Sharing opinions is kind of the point. Go watch the news of you're looking for something else.
