I love Pop as a coach but that may have gone too far. The reality is it is not always about race. Some of the discrimination is about ethnicities and handicaps. Pop is right that race relations need to improve, but wrong that only one side as he insinuates, or as I took him to mean it, needs to work on it.

I wished Pop would STFU or put his money where his mouth is. If he is "embarrassed" then he should step down as Team USA coach and do something besides lecture me about it. I am just a SPED teacher so I do not have the platform or experience he does, but I do know that there are white kids, Hispanic/latino kids, and "Indian" kids that get oppressed from the African American kids in this town. Works all ways, not just one, or at least in my experience.
