Well we will certainly find out. I would say chances are very good that we see some kneelers given the events of today. Some teams that never had players kneeling before today had some today.

I was watching when he said that about Alvin Garrett.

Cosell could be an a-hole but there was nothing racial about the comment. Still, you could've heard a pin drop in the booth after he said it.

I went to Angelo State where Garrett played. They play up the shite out of that moment in history.

Jerry has an opportunity for a relations/advertising coup. He's a smart, very shrewd businessman. Just have every player come out of the clubhouse onto the field running with an American flag, hand it off to a disabled veteran and then stand in unison, arms locked, with hands over hearts. Jerry walks out to the center star, Army Rangers drop down from the roof and Navy Seals surround him coming in from all four corners. Everyone is cheering. Jerry soaks it all in, brings the microphone up to his face and he growls,

"To everyone in America and around the world, this is Texas and we are the Dallas Cowboys. We love our God, our country, our flag and its freedoms. We don't take a knee to honor our veterans, our servicemen and our women of service, all who sacrifice for our freedoms. We stand tonight to honor our flag, our country and all who earn us our freedoms with their courage and with their lives. I ask every one of you to stand proudly with me now as we salute our flag and please continue standing for our national anthem!"

A Marine color guard walks out to the center, and from the sideline, Carrie Underwood walks to the center. Jerry introduces her and hands her the microphone. Carrie croons. The crowd is roaring, and suddenly Jerry Jones is the hero everyone needed to rise to the occasion.

They would regain the title of America's Team. Cowboys merchandise would fly off the shelf and all everyone would be talking about is how Jones thumbed his nose at Roger Goodell and made every other team owner look puny and small in comparison.

Still don't care.

F the NFL until players choose patriotism over Trumped up racist divisionism.

They'd be most patriotic losers there ever was.

No literally, all of his top flight talent is black. He "fires" or benches one of his players for kneeling tmrw night and he's more likely to end up like that old clippers owner.

He has no leverage anymore. Before Friday it was all the owners vs Kap and a few guys here and there. Now all the owners are defending their guys and speaking against Trumps words. He does something stupid he'll be on an island.

He said he would fire them. The union can't stop him from cutting a player.

This. The JJ thing has "fake news" written all over it

I think he made a comment this summer, maybe at the HoF ceremony during an interview. He didn't say he would fire a player, he just said something along the lines of you won't see that bullshite in Cowboys stadium.

I didn't read it in an article, it was an interview on TV.

I could be misremembering.

You obviously have no idea how leverage works.

Most owners are pussies who bend over and take it in the arse anytime an SJW chafes her pussy and thinks whitey owes her something.

Go watch his HoF speech. He doesn't give a frick what some worthless nobody thinks. He owns the most valuable sports team in the world. If Jerry thinks his players should stand then they will stand. If Jerry thinks it doesn't matter then the players will do whatever they want.

Outside of the Patriots there isn't another franchise that an NFL player would rather play for.

Jerry could whip his dick out in the owners box on live TV and the league, owners, and players won't say a damn thing.

He runs the NFL.

Then I definitely hope Dez takes a knee.

I think he is already on the record as saying he wouldn't protest.

I do not believe for one second that Kerry would fire Dak, Zeke, or Dez if they kneeled. Now the 3rd string D tackle is another story.

If he said it on camera we would have a transcript or YouTube of it somewhere. So far I have seen nothing, and "Dallas" things don't fly under the radar very often.

I think if Jerry said that ESPN would be running with the clip 24/7, as a dare if nothing else.

I am going to watch the pre-game to see what Jerry does if his players start taking a knee.

I so very badly want Ezekiel Elliot to take a knee and Jerry Jones do something. At that point he literally is saying:
"Beating girlfriend = Ok."
"Taking a knee in peaceful protest != ok".

That shite will be comical.
