3 mi pass to Elephant pt pass is my route for going offshore. I guess I should have just done that. Is Martin Is, Mitchell key, Comfort Is, and etc any good this time of year? Or is the bite further South and/or east.

Mitchell, Brush, and the rest of those eastern islands are summer spots for me. I'm not familiar with Elephant pass but 3 mile and south and west is about right. There isn't really anything East of Martin or Mitchell except Chandy
