Not sure but a friend of mine's parents left Canada and came here for his cancer treatment. He was originally from here but had issues getting treatment. Most of the locals advised him to get out of Canada for anything serious. May not always be the issue but in some cases it is. Did clinicals once for medic in a hospital. Dr was from up at northern point of Wisconsin and had done some work in Canada. He said the system there is aweful.

Well the overwhelming support for the system in Canada shows that whatever small number of examples you use are mostly irrelevant.

People leave the United States for treatment as well. It happens. The difference is that more Americans die from not having healthcare.

Obamacare is not healthcare. It's health insurance.

Provide stats of people dying due to not having health insurance. I'll wait.

There are entire peer reviewed articles about Canada's rationed equipment and services.

quote:

Abstract
Excessive wait times for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies are a major problem in the Canadian healthcare system. To determine how requests for MRI studies are managed, the authors performed a survey of public MRI facilities in Canada. Ninety-six per cent had some method to triage MRI requests. However, only 42% had documented guidelines for prioritization, and none employed quality assurance methods to ensure that guidelines were followed. Target timelines for each prioritization category varied widely. Sixteen per cent of centres were not able to meet their target timelines for any prioritization category, and 45% of centres met target times only for some prioritization categories. Strategies for dealing with wait lists primarily involved attempts to increase capacity. No centres attempted to reduce wait times by decreasing inappropriate requests. There appears to be a need to standardize MRI wait list management given the variation in management practices and wait times observed.

Took 30 seconds to find

Should we look for more? Published in NCBI good enough?

You can admit there is rationing in Canada without changing your stance that some Americans die from now having healthcare. Both can be true. Their system does cost and access well, but struggles with quality care in many acute and chronic situations.

And Canadians can't always access the procedures and diagnostics they need in a timely manner. Neither system is perfect, or great for that matter.

Well the overwhelming amount of retards is the exact reason we are a republic and not full democracy. Cant let you morons mob rule. Or we'd have no history, no money, and certainly no healthcare when the money runs out.

More people support getting free shite than are against it?!?! Wow, who would have ever guessed. Forget real tangible examples of what actually happens in these types of healthcare system, thats completely irrelevant when compared to feelings and people wanting free stuff.

There has never been a single death from not having health care. Not one.

I've spent a good deal of time in Canada have two good friends in Toronto whose daughter requires regular medical care. I've never heard anyone there suggest that they would prefer the U.S. system.

I do not know one single person that died due to no health care. This is the biggest damn lie the Democraps spew!

I worked with Canadians for 10yrs. They hated their health care and their 45% income tax and their 50% import tax. One guy waited 6 months just to get a vasectomy.

I'll let you in on another secret, Europeans hated their health care and taxes as well, but you will never hear one word about that from Democraps.

I worked in Brazil for 5 yrs they have "free" health care. I actually did work with guys that lost loved ones because they could not get treatment.

Wrong. The morality rate increased under Obamacare compared to the previous decade.
