Serious question: How does someone, who only has one vote, go to DC and be effective? In its current climate of gridlock and historically low approval numbers, how does one Senator affect change in a body of 100? How does a Representative?

We see more and more that to get anything done in DC (which is a joke these days) you have to play the game. I could have the best of intentions to go to DC and blow shite up and get stuff done, but you need allies.

I guess my point is (and I'm not an apologist for any politician) what is Cassidy to do differently to make changes happen? I see it as not a problem with Cassidy singularly, but rather with Congress as a whole.
