think about it. you're losing your grip. he's got 3 years and you might as well resign yourself to it.

now, if nick's agent calls and says nick wants to come back, then you might get Eaux fired. otherwise, do what you need to do to keep from harming yourself.

I'll bet my life he doesn't have 3 years if we keep seeing what we saw Saturday night.

He won't make it 2 full years if that continues.

well given the circumstances surrounding his hiring, its very realistic....or should be at least.

Yea it's not realistic. He definitely has 2 years. We bit off a lot in the miles payout, which made this hire all the more important. O has dug himself a hole already.

Orgeron is unqualified to be a HC, a great D Line coach and supposedly great recruiter, not a HC.

Would rather face the embarrassment now, fire him, eat the buyout, than watch the program descend to Orgeron era Ole Miss football

If you give Miles 11 years you have to give any new HC 3 years.

I don't think 3 years is a given. Maybe two but honestly depends on what we see rest of the year.

It's not realistic at all. The last thing Alleva wants is the pressure of another football hire. Plus the buyout and it just won't happen for a while

Alleva will give his guy every chance to succeed. If they don't fire Alleva, Coach O may be here longer than he should.

Rantards want to fire the coaches after every single loss.

Get used to it.

Assuming you are a true LSU fan you only hurt your team and recruiting by doing that.

It's not realistic at all right now. It could have been just one bad game; or State could be a great team this year. If that level of play continues and we end up the worst in the west, then you seriously consider another change.

First, Coach O isn't going to get fired his first year esp. with a hugh buyout.

Second, if anything else, Aleva learned you don't fire the head coach unless you've got someone better and are able to sign him.

I don't think it is realistic, you are correct. I also have known since the day we hired him that we would be firing him pretty quickly. I really was hoping to be wrong, and I still may be But you don't get beat like that by sheer luck.

We will not fire him until after next year though.

Financially it's just no realistic. LSU is still saddled with a massive buyout on the LM contract. I still believe Coach O can turn this thing around. Even Nick Saban experienced a bumpy road when he took over at LSU. Dan Mullen at Mississippi State too.

I say....give it time.
