WOW look at those downvotes

We were taking what those teams were giving us. No reason to show our hand, blah, blah.
I hate the idiots that posted that shite.

LSUButt is one of those idiots.

All those slapdicks need to do the right thing and reverse their votes.

I was laughing my arse off at the "vanilla on purpose" and "only 10% of the offense, bro" morons on here after week 1. They still think that is a thing and the secret playbook is real. Bless their hearts.

You guys are so stupid.
When your line gets whipped there is no such thing as a winning strategy. No amount of passing in the first two weeks would have prevented this.

I'm 100% positive our pass blocking would have been better last night if we didn't run the ball 75% of time in the first 2 games.

And the timing with the short passes, which would have slowed the pass rush

Poor pass preparation week 1 and 2 caught up with us faster than I thought.
His premise was not correct, he (and apparently a lot of LSU fans) just had a misconception of the what the "Canada offense" is. The problem wasn't that we didn't pass enough in Weeks 1 and 2, the problem is that Canada's offense doesn't pass much except in high scoring games when it is necessary.
From my post in that thread:
quote:
1. Pitt had under 20 or fewer attempts 5 times last year, so attempts being in the teens is not unusual for Canada.
2. He had over 30 attempts only 4 times. Three of the four games with over 30 attempts came in games where the Pitt defense gave up more than 40 points.
So basically, LSU's 18 attempts per game is pretty consistent with what Canada likes to do, and Pitt's 2016 average was pulled up by a few games where opponents scored 45 (30 attempts), 51 (36 attempts) and 42 (38 attempts).
The point I was trying to make was that LSU shouldn't expect to have as many attempts per game as Pitt because Canada only throws 30 times a game when the opponent scores like 40....turns out I underestimated the number of times that was going to happen for LSU this season...the current attempts per game number is much closer to Pitt's numbers now than it was last week...

There were similar threads after the BYU game that got north of 400 downvotes on the OP. Where are they now...
I said after BYU that if Les Miles had called that game The Rant would be calling for his head but no, we had the guru of motion and spin!

You're just as stupid now as you were then..

they scored 37 and we threw 23 times of which about ten were in the 4th qtr...
The problem was we had no continuity to drives running or passing and as a result ran too few plays which left our defense on the field too long. A blind man could see that.

Igor downvoted into oblivion for suggesting that the coaches had no faith in Etling and that we should be throwing the ball early and often against inferior teams to work on our passing game. I was met with the usually simpleton "don't show your hand" type of responses.

2 more poor teams coming up. After two wins in a row ranters will be bitching that the Tigers aren't in the post season championship series talk.

All you have to do is some pre-snap motion and flip your entire line a few times and the idiots think it's some kind of revolutionary offense.
It's the same run heavy, run heavy, play action we got with Miles, except we have had much less explosive running plays.

2 more "poor teams" that can beat the LSU we witnessed last night means it is now a big leap to assume LSU can or will beat either or both. Then next, the SEC gauntlet. Who exactly does our scheduling?
