It's been many years since I was forced to watch Miss America, but haven't those questions always been kind of political? Or at least sociopolitical?

Is the stance of "Put all the confederate statues in museums" considered "toeing the liberal line" as the article that Drudge linked implies?

Usually humanitarian issues such as hunger. I've never seen them fish for attacks on our president in the Miss America pageant like this
