2009 NFC Championship game against the Minnesota Vikings.

What do you think?

Our offense struggled in that NFC Championship game. The only reason we won was because of all the turnovers our defense created. The Super Bowl was a much more impressive performance as a whole.

we played like shite this game. We were lucky to come out with this from the help of the Vikings miscues.

When you say "greatest game," do you mean greatest ending or greatest we've played in the game?

Because the greatest Saints game I saw overall was Saints/Pats primetime in 2009. We brought the whoop. That's when everyone said, "alright these guys can play."

Greatest game I saw in person: Saints at Redskins, Dec. 6, 2009, featuring the infamous Meachem strip-and-score, and a furious comeback for an OT 33-30 victory. This was truly a team of destiny.

The Patriots game in 2009 is when I knew we were going to win the Superbowl.

I'd go with the 2009 game against the Redskins. Best Saints comeback ever.

The 2009 Patriots game was pretty close to perfect.

Brees had a perfect game going 18/23 371 yards and 5 TDs for a 158.3 QB Rating

Brady had the 10th worst game of his career going 21/36 for 237 yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs for a 55 QB Rating

But in terms of best games the team ever played all around, that's kind of tough. But a dark horse contender has to be the worst defense of all-time shutting out the Bucs 41-0.

Some stats from that game:
Brees 26/39 307 yards 4 TDs 124.6 QB Rating
Freeman 26/47 279 yards 0 TDs 4 INTs 37.5 QB Rating

Saints rushing 25 carries 149 yards 1 TD
Bucs rushing 16 carries 67 yards and a fumble

Hartley was a perfect 2/2 and 5/5

Morstead had a 53.6 yards per punt which is his 10th best average of his career

5-0 Turnover ratio

About as perfect a game as you can ask for winning the battle in the air, on the ground, and on special teams.

Most fun to watch was that Pats game in '09. Don't know how mahy times I replayed that game. That game put the entire NFL on notice if they weren't convinced how good the Saints were before.

The 2011 Divisional Playoff against the 49ers comes to mind. The game where AS11 and VD85 lit that arse up!! ??

The greatest single game was the 2009 Patriots game, as many have stated.

But I want to give an honorable mention to the 42-0 demolition of the Elway-led Denver Broncos in 1988.

Nobody was expecting that level of arse-whooping that day.

Believe it or not, Bobby Hebert went 20 for 23 that day. 194 yards and 3 TD's.

I was at the game, and saw that old superfan who always wore the Broncos barrel around his waist. He was having a bad time.
