Knicks hold some cards as well. They can lowball the buyout knowing Melo doesn't want to start next season as a Knick. Houston has no cards. They have nothing to offer NYK that New York would want. So this battle is really between Melo and New York ownership unless Houston can miraculously get a 3rd team involved that's drooling over Ryan Anderson, which I'm pretty sure would have happened by now if there was such a team out there.

Uh the Knicks want melo gone just as bad as he wants to be gone. They are ready for a fresh start. He won't be on the roster when the season starts. And he won't be on any other roster but Houstons.

I still think a deal gets done even if this goes into the season.

But I'm not worried about t because Ryan Anderson is a good player and I'm intrigued to see him in this offense as well.

I'm to the point where I'm fine with whatever happens.
