Which I think made him potentially being fired at the end of the season a decent bet.

He was brought in to fix Florida's offensive woes they had under Muschamp. At this point it looks like they are getting WORSE in that dept, not better. He has only two regular season wins vs. ranked opponents and has been owned by his in-state rival (Florida St.). Yes, he has two SEC East titles, but he's done it at a time when the East may be as weak as it's ever been. Once he's reached the championship game vs. Alabama his teams have been largely non-competitive.

He's not doing "bad" seemingly by any objective measure. However, I think Florida has MUCH higher expectations than a middle-of-the-pack top 25 program. Plus, the current AD is not the AD who hired him. If a more "proven" coach became available, would UF consider a change? The program has a lot to offer
