I know they don't teach it anymore, but wasn't sure when they started phasing out.

I learned but my penmanship is terrible so I print and have since about 7th grade. I don't think I could write a cursive sentence right now.

I do but I still refuse to do that capital "Q" that looks like a "2"

Cursive = longhand or script as we called it in school.

I print if it is only a few words but still use script if I need to write something and don't want to spend all day doing so.

My hand writing is terrible but that is the reader's problem.

Yes and no.

I'm a lefty but for some reason my elementary schools teachers made me write right handed, I learned cursive right handed. Around 9th grade I switch back to my left so I don't know how to write in cursive with my left hand.

I'm 36 and don't. They taught it in when I was in school, but didn't bother learning it.

I'm glad they got rid of it. Even if you can write in it, I promise I'd rather read your print writing. I learned how to write in cursive, but I haven't actually used it for probably 15 years.

Hot take: You shouldn't randomly capitalize the word not like that

It hasn't been phased out everywhere. Both my kids learned it.

I'm 33 and the only time I don't use cursive is when I'm filling out a form at the DMV or a doctor's office. I use the "Q" that looks like a 2 because that's how I was taught.

We were also taught calligraphy, but I never use that. Never.
