Urban Meyer is their coach. They will probably finish the season with 0-1 losses. Who cares anyway, it will all work itself out

Because they are Ohio State and beat Bama.
And Clemson stays up there despite losing Watson because they beat Bama.
And FSU just recently won the title (and is facing Bama and the pollsters always always always do this...if they see an early season matchup they will overrank one team or both just to have a Top 5 matchup as the Networks request)
They used to do this shite with Michigan and Notre Dame all the time. #1 vs. #2 in week 2!
FSU wouldn't be #3 but for playing Bama early.
Real question is, how is Southern Cal #4? They got their shite pushed in by Bama.

Ohio State made the playoffs and laid an egg. They come back with their starting qb and a lot of their O Line.

I mean Sam Darnold is awesome but USC doesn't have remotely an elite defense...or even good defense.
In USC's best game in the Rose Bowl - Penn State scored at will.
Darnold may have saved USC's season but it doesn't change the fact that the defense was the same - and in the opener Alabama could have scored on every possession. Maybe they did?
