2/1 is still two to one. Doesn't matter if it's 10/5 or 20/10. He really wasn't asked to do much last year in regards to passing.

So there is no difference between throwing 10 touchdowns in a season vs. throwing 20 touchdowns in a season? What if he only threw 4 td's and 2 interceptions. Still 2/1 right?

Check his 144.5 QB rating against other SEC QBs.

His QB rating was 135.5 LINK which was 7th in the SEC. A few QB's with a better qb rating - true freshman Jalen Hurts, true freshman Jake Bentley, Sean White, and Josh Dobbs.

Remove auburn, different HC and OC than what finished the year. Tigers had a great offensive game VS the gators for 90 yards of the field. Don't think they will struggle as much on the goal line two years in a row.

Just remove the Auburn game? How convenient. He played awful and we didn't score a touchdown. He had 31 yards passing with 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. That game happened you don't just get to "remove it" because it fits your world view that Etling isn't bad. He played the game. We didn't install an entire new offensive system in the 6 days in between that and the next game.

Point was Etling's production with EdO as HC and SE as OC. Same offense just a little more imagination in play calling.

Big difference between 20 TDs and only 10. No doubt. BIG difference between 10 pics and five also. With a great running game you might not have to rely on passing TDs as much.

His 144.5 QB rating was with EdO as head coach not for the season. Just think what his numbers must have been with Cam as OC to finish with a 135.5 QB rating. What about his 8.5 yards per attempt.

You do know LSU had one of the most explosive offenses in the SEC right?

You do realize that Mett's junior year he threw 12TDs vs 7 INTs and had a lower completion percentage. That with OBJ, Landry, Boone and Wright to throw to.

Maybe he makes the same senior jump Mett did. maybe not. I doubt he will get the benefit of Landry and OBJ's sticky hands or ability to separate from defenders. But, the X-factor will be what Canada can provide to make the O more productive.
