But there wasn't a 96 mile open border one day, then a 96 mile double fenced border with high tech gadgetry the next day.

And this isn't border crossings, it's captures. Wouldn't that help make capturing easier?

Is this serious?

You want the taxpayer to be in the hook for chasing down millions of nameless, faceless illegals? You want pregnant women and children dying in the desert, or getting trafficked by cartels?

With a wall, we are playing defense not offense. There is no logical argument against border fortification.
