re: Sig P226 or P229?

P229 is shorter grip. The p226 is longer. P226 legion is top notch as others have mentioned. The E2 grips should fit on any model of the same line (p226 e2 grip fits all p226) as the frames are the same besides stipling on new production guns. I took the e2 grips off my p229 to use some G10 grips like on the Legion series. That's what I prefer.

Mag capacity is 15 rounds for each gun out of the box. Mecgar makes 18 rounders for the p226 that are only a few millimeters longer than the 15s (rubber base pad vs sheetmetal) and can add a plus 2 base pad. P229 can get 17 round mags with mags that have a plus 2 base pad.
