Mine has never been that low but I don't think HR's in the upper 30's are that unusual for serious endurance athletes. I also believe some of it is affected by genetics as I knew a guy who was a 4:10 miler and his resting HR was 56-58 - not very low at all for that level of fitness. Still, if you're at all concerned, I'd say go see a doc for peace of mind.

Thats not uncommon for me either. Mine is usually 38-45.


I used to run a ton and stay in pretty good shape.
