I like Georgetown and Burnet.
San Marcos used to be a nice little town but it's grown so much. Pretty soon Austin and San Antonio will be one big metroplex like DFW.

I remember when there was a clear line of delineation from Austin to Buda/Kyle to SM to NB to Schertz to SA.
The only time you're not driving through city now is tiny blips between SM to NB and NB to Schertz. I'm betting in 10-20 years you will not see a lick of country side from Georgetown to Lytle
