All of this is just to motivate Etling. Narcisse will be redshirted. Myles/McMillan are number 2 atm.
ETA: and I'm on of the guys who said Narcisse would end up better than Brennan. Narcisse needs work, as does Brennan. Etling will be the starter for the entire season.

News like this is why I have decided to be completely pessimistic about the upcoming year. My extreme optimism due to off season news has crushed me in recent years. If I tell myself we will lose every game then I don't have to drink myself to death a few Saturday's this year

And people think he's going to take us to the playoff
How's Bama always make it? It's definitely not because of tremendous QB play. They win in the trenches and make it easier on their QB. That and horse shite officiating.
I might be the minority here, but I personally would have loved seeing how Harris would do under Canada. Having him here wouldn't have hurt.

Harris is a great kid and I wish him the best at UNC but he isn't an SEC caliber QB. I don't care about shitty lines or being pressured, he couldn't make routine passes.

Tried to say this in a thread the other day, but got downvoted.

He's trying to get the retards to stfu about Brennan so we don't have another jefferson/lee situation.

quote:That could definitely be true. It's hard to tell without seeing what was going on in practice. Sometimes accuracy can be fixed with footwork and repetitions. If I was a betting man, I'd put my money on Harris wasn't getting enough pass reps needed in practice to improve much. Yes, he was starting, but obviously we all know that Miles was run heavy. It was also an outdated system that doesn't fair well against teams with a strong pass rush and front seven. You can't expect an o-line to hold for 4+ seconds while the QB drops back from center anymore. The game has changed. It's all about quick drops and releases nowadays. That explains why LSU lost all four games against Top 10 defenses they faced last season.

With Lowell at Full health and him accurately throwing the ball Canada's motion power offense would be unstoppable. With him being hurt his last two years of high school people really forget how much of a beast he really is. Having him running and accurately throwing the ball out of the same backfield with Guice on two healthy knees would be special. I just thought we were A year away from the Lowell talk just to give him a extra year to get both knees at a 110%. I was always in the belief that no matter what Brennen did this year. There were always going to have a competition next year with a full healthy Lowell. It might be this year maybe that's why practice has been closed. Brennen running with the ones in some scrimmages was just catching him up, because Lowell has been here all spring. If Lowell can stay healthy and throw the ball accurately running Canada's Motion power offense him and Guice in The same backfield to go along with our other freak of athletes at receiver and tight end it would almost be unstoppable's

Ok so instead of Lowell red shirting for his knees it's Brennan to RS so he can add weight and get sec ready. New narrative let's go with it !

Narcisse is a beast, and is already built for the SEC. Probably has the strongest arm out of all the Qbs on the roster and has the best athletic ability now that Scott is gone. The kid can play and thats that.

So we hear nothing about Narcisse all summer, and now he's right there at 2? bullshite.

I really think this is misdirection from CEO but it does have me pretty excited for Narcisse if he is possibly going to be #2. I thought he needed a lot of work with his technique but if he's ready to go as backup then I'm all for it. He's got all the tools in his belt.

Coach speak to motivate the entire QB room. He has given Myles so much love he has to share the love. The team can not afford another depature at QB. We are barely going into spring with 3 QB's. It is not out of the realm of possibility that someone leaves before next spring.
We don't have a clear option at QB for this or next signing class.
This is not an ideal situation. With next year's lack of experience on deck. DE is the clear starter O wants to and needs to win bigly this year. Some of the fan support is on on a 90 day trial basis.
I think he has been very impressive thus far.
