This article was posted in FB from probably the most liberal guy that at know. He's and drama professor in Austin so I probably don't need to say more.

LINK

He is actually posting this as a solid piece of advice to his white friends. He actually believes all this crap and so does his friends that are all sharing and thanking him for this nugget of truth and advice from out dark skinned, oppressed, and marginalized brethren out there just fighting for equality.

I think I'm going to puke...

Martin Luthor King Jr.

quote:

there is something that I must say to my people who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice. In the process of gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.

The marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the Negro community must not lead us to a distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny. And they have come to realize that their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom. We cannot walk alone.

Privilege means that you owe a debt. You were born with it. You didn’t ask for it. And you didn’t pay for it either. No one is blaming you for having it. You are lovely, human, and amazing. Being a citizen of a society requires work from everyone within that society. It is up to you whether you choose to acknowledge the work that is yours to do. It is up to you whether you choose to pay this debt and how you choose to do so.

Big Scrubb paid mine and his. I'm good. The rest of ya'll need to pay the frick up.

Be respectful, ask questions, listen more than you talk, don't be condescending...

Tell you what, as soon as I meet a black person who does this, I'll start responding in kind.

Wow. He used almost every buzzword in the racial vocabulary. But his favorite was 'marginalized'. He used it 8 times.
What does it mean? Is it 'considered inferior'? Inferior at what?

Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.

Does your buddy know he is racist?
