Quick sorta related question - I'm finding that the vast majority of used players irons have stiff staffs. I'm pretty sure I should be sticking with regular shafts since I typically hit 7 iron ~150 yards. Would going with stiff shafts be a big mistake for me or would I hardly notice a difference?

Depends on the shaft. The KBS Tour 90s in S play pretty soft. DG S300 does not. In Rifle, you could safely play 5.5, but in Tour Flighted, 5.5 is rather stiff.
