Not a follower of baseball at all. He is clearly an efficient player in this level. How many more does he need to compete in before he gets the call?

Love that he working his way up.

For the baseball gurus, does he have a legit shot?

Probably will never happen. If he makes it to AA, i think things will taper off steadily

Not this year... dude is still in A ball.

He has vastly outperformed expectations though, if he puts in the work he might have a shot in a season or two.

We'll find out if he has a legit shot if he does well in Double A. I'm pulling for him.

Sometime later this season. Mets firmly out of contention- why not put some asses in seats and sell some jerseys

He's already proven so many "experts" wrong that at this point I actually see him making it.. hopefully not this year but sometime late next season.. but considering that he's still in his infancy of big time baseball, it could all fall apart quickly..

Y'all know he's batting .239 in A ball right now (and is 3 for his last 31) right? Some of you need to pump the brakes.

105 wRC+ as a 30 y/o LF in High A. AA will likely be a very tough test for him.

Clearly efficient?

No.
Defense C
Average F

He's batting .097 last ten games. He wont even play in AA this season.

Why are people so fascinated with this guy? He's hitting .226 with a .666 OPS and three times as many K's as BBs. If he gets called up to the majors this year it will be a publicity stunt and that shouldn't make anybody happy.

the Mets calling him up late as a sideshow would be a huge disservice to him.

If he does have a real chance, he needs to go to AA and develop more
