I hate to say it, but what he said probably is an accurate description of a lot of lefties
I post on a very leftwing Michigan board, and every night before the first Friday of the month, there is a jobs report anticipation thread with people hoping it is a bad report

I'd love for Trump to lose support, but not at the cost of our economic prosperity. This is just loony toons.

The economy doing well and the dow and stocks being at all time highs is what is going to help insulate Trump from a lot of shite storms including Mueller's investigation and help him win reelection.
The economy doing well is what saved Bill Clinton from impeachment. And the economy doing pretty shitty is what made sure Nixon had no chance to avoid impeachment.

I'm just here to point out again, like in my thread this morning, that all the stupid shite liberals are doing and saying in regards to Trump is the same that many conservatives did for Obama. Plenty of Reps loved bashing Obama for poor jobs.

I agree with you. Last week I read an article from a former lefty female. She outlined ten reasons why she no longer identifies as liberal, and why she now votes Republican.
Among her reasons was "hate." She said liberals wrap up their whole political identity not by what they love, or celebrate, but that which they hate. They don't love women any more than conservatives -- they hate men. They don't empathize with minorities more than conservatives -- they hate white men. They don't cherish peace anymore than conservatives -- they hated Bush and his agenda. They don't love the environment more than conservatives -- they hate capitalism and corporate greed.
For her, all she saw was nastiness, and hate in the liberal party. Whereas with the conservatives, she saw them focus more on what they loved: family, God, community, focusing on what's good rather than what's bad.
