Yeah. Catching on like wild fire.

Question. What is the difference in you boycotting in a way that will effect the NFL bottomline the best way you know how, and people threatening to do the same if they were offended by how he chose to protest or because he is pro-Castro?

OK this is just hilarious and if the stats are correct, there aren't enough black people in America to really constitute an immensely impactful pro football fanbase relative to the country's total population.

I seriously doubt the NFL or the networks are worried bout black males boycotting the league. Where does the real money come from, the money that makes owners multiple billionaires? Too, go to any sports bar on a Sunday, those fans, black & white, are not going to stop watching the NFL because of any political reason. And back to her boobs, she is the one who got him on some spaced out diet that resulted in him losing so much weight, in a not good for his football career way.

Once again very few were actually doing this. You keep acting like it's the vast majority of conservatives when it's definitely not.

ETA: Of all things to mobilize the black community... Colin fricking Kaepernick not being signed by an NFL team for the 2017 season. It's comical.

OOOOO 7.5% that means 92.5% of the NFL fan base demographic will still be watching football and attending games on Sundays and putting money in these owners', sponsors' and players' wallets, considering the chances of 10 million black people suddenly abstaining from watching games and purchasing merchandise is so remote to be rendered practically unbelievable, we can rest assured big money will still be made and popularity maintained.

Fair enough. I think there are misconceptions on both sides that make Kaep to be so polarizing. I think on one it's seen as disrespect for what he was protesting when a lot of it was how (not all of course, but most). The other side is so offended by the means and some.. misguided speech, that they fail to see he is seemingly a good dude. He does a lot of work with charities and has a seemingly good report with guys he has played with.
I just think a large portion of NFL fans think the ends don't justify the means, and the disrespect of the flag as a form of protest by liberal America will get lumped together with him. A lot of Americans hold the flag and anthem in high regard and see it as a unifying and galvanizing symbol of our collective differences being secondary to our union as a whole. Kaep became a face of the movement to both sides, because of that polarization and the fact that he is an average QB that hasn't shown the ability to run or thrive in a non-West Coast offense it is a big risk for a team to take. Is it fair? Probably not. Is it the nature of the NFL that guys with average talent and baggage have a hard time finding a job? Yes. Do I think Kaep is 100% genuine with everything he has said and done? Absolutely. Do I think a lot of it was fed to him by his wife to use to boost her own image and not original thought? Yes, absolutely.

quote:I just depends if the meme spreads. It was quite easy for me to give it up honestly. I know I'm different, but I was like, "meh." But as I have told so many others, if you want to be taken seriously you will do what is truly necessary to get the attention that you truly want. Hollering and screaming will get you nowhere, but stop spending and your point will be heard loud and clear. Some don't have the mentality to truly make change because they still possess the subservient slave mentality, but I shed that years ago. I have stopped spending my money at alot of different places though so this isn't anything new for me.
