OSU bye week and been discussing which game to go to that weekend with my father. Looking at the schedule it's actually a great week:

Here are some of my better options:

1. Tennessee at Bama
2. Okie St at Texas
3. L'ville at FSU
4. USC at ND

I have been to DKR in Austin for a game before but none of the others. My little bro also lives in Austin

If you were ranking those 4 games as opportunities, which would you do based on the game/atmosphere etc.

Michigan @ PSU is that weekend too but I will probably stay away from B1G games for purposes of this

This one.

I've been to every one since 2007.

The only thing in Tuscaloosa is a nice lake and Dreamland ribs. The places is really not fun if you're "trying to make a weekend out of it" Austin is a blast but you already know that. I think USC ND would be fun

I went to this game last year at Neyland. Very disappointing. Game was over at the end of the 1st quarter. It won't be different this year in Tuscaloosa.

3. L'ville at FSU

This will be a high octane game, would be my choice of the 4.

You've already been to Austin and OSU/ND have a series planned in the future so I'd automatically toss those. For me the idea would be to go somewhere I likely otherwise wouldn't in my life. UT/Bama won't be very close I don't think, but it's a premiere rivalry and bama is king at the moment so that'd be my pick. UL/FSU may be a better game but it just doesn't have the name appeal I'd look for.

Been to all those places.

Tennessee at Bama is probably the surest bet for a good weekend, but SC/ND will be the best atmosphere if ND is actually any good.

You know that Austin is a great place for a game. Tuscaloosa and Tallahassee are fine but nothing special. South Bend is a dump (avoid staying there if you can).

Responses are kind of what I expected, all over the map with different people emphasizing different aspects (game vs weekend vs city).

I'm leaning Bama/Tennessee right now I think. Will speak to my dad about it and see where his head is at. Think FSU/L'ville would be my #2 and USC/ND my 3.

I hope this game gets AIDS and then drowns.

This is the fricking game that is the basis for all issues we have with the SEC schedule. These two having to keep their hate game on, despite refusing to be in the same half of the split conference fricks everyone else.

I think you'd be making a big mistake going to Tuscaloosa. It's an okay atmosphere but it's made up of sidewalk fans and frat boys. Bryant Denny isn't a very loud stadium, they pump in noise from an Alabama hick and students wave pom poms. And there's a 80% chance or so bama blows out UT.

Never been to any of the other places for a game but personally I would want to go to the game that is likely to be top 15 teams and be a close game which leaves Nd and FSU. I'd choose FSU though because it's gonna be a decent atmosphere, one of the most talented teams in FSU, the reigning Heisman winner at louisville, and the fine women in Tallahassee. I'm sure you'll have a great time at any of the 4 though.

That team and those fans will be out for blood after what Louisville did to them last year. Easy choice, IMO.

I'd do Louisville and FSU personally. Mainly because the offenses will probably be fun as hell to watch.

The wife and I go to this game every year when it is here in South Bend. It's a great atmosphere, passionate fans and teams.
