How the frick did you say PEMDAS then proceed to do it wrong?

Dumb fricks. Just because a number is in parentheses doesn't mean you do that first.

It's a question of does 2(3) constitute parentheses or a multiplication in pemdas. Because the parentheses isn't really performing a visibly parentheses role

I don't understand how people don't grasp that you only simplify within parentheses.

For some real math.......

What's the percentage of people who say the answer is 10 that actually believe it as opposed to the trolls?

I'm going with 5% believe, 95% troll

Indeed.

"And when you're holding me
We make a pair of parentheses
There's plenty space to encase
Whatever weird way my mind goes
I know I'll be safe in these arms"

Simplify.

PEMDAS

Parentheses is just for Grouping!
Evaluate what's INSIDE the parentheses first. There is only a number (3).

I will repeat because this is what causes the controversy in this expression. Evaluate what is INSIDE the parentheses first!

6^2 / 2(3) + 4

There is nothing but a number inside the parentheses so the first step is to rewrite the problem

6^2 / 2 * 3 + 4

Next is Exponents:

36 / 2 * 3 + 4

Next is Multiplication OR Division, whichever comes first left to right:

18 * 3 + 4

Still not done with Multiplication/Division

54 + 4

Finally do Addition OR Subtraction, whichever comes first, left to right:

58
