We like outdoor stuff (hiking etc.) and SO loves chilling on the beach as well.

You're going to love St John. Many of their hiking trails connect with ruins of old abandoned sugar plantations. One of the trails passes by ancient petroglyphs from a pre-Colombian era.

Of course the north side of the island has some of the best beaches in the world with some of the clearest blue waters you've ever seen.

Since the island is not heavily populated, it will be a much more relaxing experience. To get a hightened feeling of isolation, rent a house on the east side of the island.

The official cocktail of the Virgin Islands is The Painkiller. Every restaurant and bar seems to have it as their special. One of the restaurants has an all you can eat grilled lobster night. Let me know if you want more details.

Thank you! I will definitely get in contact if we end up going to St. John.

That's more a BVI (Soggy Dollar) drink. Bushwhackers are everywhere as well.
