i believe that the creator blew his wad by episode 6-7 of season 1 and the jumbled finale that shite on everything that mad people engaged in season 1 + season 2 is much more likely of a path for this season

I really enjoyed all 8 episodes of the first season. I know some didn't care for the final two but I thought they were great.

I'll agree that the second season wasn't on the same level, but I'm in the minority when I say that I still liked it. It was definitely hard to follow, though.

The show was definitely at its peak in the middle of season 1, had some of the best episodes of any show I've seen. Ending wasn't perfect but I still enjoyed it. Overall season 1 is fantastic. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Season 2 was so meh. I think it had one interesting episode, that's it. Not worth the time.

FIFY

I knew once he was busted for stealing Rust Cohle season 2 was going to suck.

ETA: not sure why the downvote - it's a fact, look it up

Pretty much this. I would even go so far as to say only the first half of Season 1 was great.
