I've recommended it before, but the Red Rising trilogy is really entertaining.
It's nothing groundbreaking but it's fast paced and a really fun read. Also the author (so far) seems pretty good about churning out books. He has the first book of his second trilogy (continuation of Red Rising but bigger in scope) coming out early next year.
Disclaimer: I've never read any of the ones you suggested so I don't know how it compares.

All kinds of Fantasy reqs on this board already, so I'll just add a few sci fi to your list:
Stephen R. Donaldson- The Gap cycle
Lois McMaster Bujold- Vorkosigan Saga
Ian M Banks- Culture series
James Corey- Expanse novels
George R R Martin- Tuf Voyaging, most his short story books which are included in Dreamsongs
I tend to lean more fantasy than sci fi, but the list above along with the Altered Carbon/Kovacs novels, Neuromancer, Snow Crash, Lord of Light, and the Hyperion series from your list are among my favorites.

How do you have all those classics on your list and no Heinlein? Starship Troopers, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress (TANSTAFL!), Glory Road - just to start.

I was trying to suggest some of the lesser known sci-fi books. Excluded Dune, Statship Troopers, Stranger in a Strange Land, Ender's Game, etc.

great list but how in the hell is Vernor Vinge's Deepness series not listed?? One of the few series that's so good I've read it more than once.
Also if you're looking for really hard sci-fi I highly recommend Kim Stanley Robinson Red Mars. IMO this is The Martian done right. (It would never fly on the big screen though)

I am on the first Insignia book and getting some good laughs from it. Pretty decent so far, almost like Harry Potter mixed with Ready Player One being on the Sixer side.

Neuromancer was a precursor to Snowcrash which then leads into "Ready Player One".
The salient bit connecting Snowcrash and RPO is that most interaction is done via a virtual environment.
Great list as well, I'd add some asimov like Foundation or the first robots book. Love the inclusion of "lord of light" by zelazny.

Yeah, Snowcrash is like a version of Neuromancer with much more humor thrown in. I'd say most people that dig RPO should like SNow Crash too, but Snow Crash does have a quirky, oddball sense of humor some might not like I guess.

I don’t care about big ideas, I enjoy good stories. RP1 was great fun. I will add Snow Crash to my list after I finish the Insignia series.
There are some really great comedy parts in it, kinda want to punch the main character in the face occassionally. He’s a gigantic moron.
