As Democrats and the mainstream media continue to insist that the president’s voter-fraud commission is a scheme to suppress votes, the head of elections in Broward County, Fla., is appearing in federal court in Miami as a defendant in a lawsuit where she will have to explain why Broward has more registered voters than citizens of voting age – a voter registration rate of 103 percent.
In 2010, the registration percentage was 106.

And she may also have to try to explain why Broward County, which has the highest number of Democratic voters in the state, has thousands of people over the age of 100 on its roll, and some as old as 130.

The case illustrates the very real problem with so many voter rolls in the country, where elected supervisors have often neglected, or even refused, to take steps to ensure that the roll is an accurate list of eligible registered voters.
quote:
Brenda Snipes, the Broward County Supervisor of Elections, responded to the letters by saying it was “implausible” that there are ineligible voters on the roll, insisting that she was following the requirements of the law, without providing specific evidence
We all know who's county this is, don't we?

It takes a while for dead people to get off the voter rolls. So what? The same is true for people who move. How many of you, when you moved, notified your former residence voter registrar of your move? How many of you when your grandmother died immediately called the registrar of voters to report the death. No one does this. This doesn't signify fraud and it isn't a problem unless someone impersonates someone else to vote in their place.

The issue here, and it's a common one, is that counties are slow in terms of purging voters who have moved or have died from their rolls. I don't see the big scandal here. Do they need to tighten up and do a better job purging rolls? Sure. But I don't see massive numbers of people voting twice.
The biggest issue with voter fraud, IMO, is regarding voter ID at the polls...including letting non-citizens vote...as well as voter intimidation. That's where I would like to see the bulk of the attention focused.

Anecdotally, I know 3 voters over 100 in south florida. I don't know if they live in broward county though.
And my grandmother (who just died @ 98) live in central florida.
Florida has a lot of old people. Although those over 130 likely don't exist.

I believe the Dems are huge proponents of voter fraud. However, this in and of itself means nothing to me. Did they vote is the only stat i care about.

I have long advocated that every voter registration roll in the nation be scrubbed to zero and new registrations required, including photo, fingerprint, proof of citizenship, proof of residence. And new registration required on every 10th birthday increment.
Voters should be required to produce a photo ID or a fingerprint before they vote.

Florida is where the fountain of youth is. This could be legit.
