If Herman gets Texas going and Riley keeps OU at their current level, then OU and UT could meet regularly in the title game.

That means the Red River Rivalry loses a lot of its luster. One of the best rivalries and games in CFB could be meaningless most years because the teams will meet again in a game that really counts.

Not to mention the potential for teams to play each other twice in the span of 2-3 weeks if they play late in the regular season & again in the Championship game.

I actually think it is a good thing because you get to keep the game at the State Fair and the Cotton Bowl.
I enjoy the Cotton Bowl. The history of the game and stadium is amazing

Then you can also have the Red Rivarly at AT&T and allow people who like the commercial part of the game and all the plastic that is Cowboys Stadium
