And an OT 3 is still a score if you got some by lowering your standards of perfect.

Just by chance I started watching this game in like the sixth inning. Amazing. When he was on, he was two pitches ahead of the batter.

Choke job by the Cardinals in the NLCS that year is just as bad
The Braves won the last three games of that series 32-1. That wasn't a STL choke. It was the Braves' bats waking up in time to save their season.

Yes, I know that. His last post was referring to the 1996 World Series. And the STL badly collapsed in the NLCS that year. Braves roared back from a 3-1 deficit. Braves did get screwed badly in the 1997 NLCS when Gregg was calling strikes a foot off the plate.

braves got screwed by that dontrelle willis game where dude was throwing strikes that were in the duggout
Jeff Blauser is my fav player of all time
braves should have traded tom glavine and someone else for a power pitcher. they always lacked that true power pitcher. finesse doesn't cut it in the playoffs

Any team blowing a 3-1 lead is a choke to me.

Braves never faced Willis in playoffs. You are probably thinking of Hernandez, who I think won NLCS and World Series MVP that year. Whomever that was calling strikes in the dugout should have been suspended.

Eric Gregg. Worst behind the plate umpired game I have ever seen.

They won a World Series with the same finesse pitchers 2 years earlier.

it was a travesty. You could tell he was consciously playing to the crowd. He was essentially fired down the road for being terrible at his job but it really should have been soon after that game.

He got pitches called strikes in that video that were 5 inches off the plate
