It's not numbered but it's a retail only exclusive red white and blue pack. 30 graded on BGS site. One sold for 100 a few days ago not graded. I sent some Bregman a Simmons and one other. 0 of 6 graded and deadline is tomorrow according to website.
ETA: Beckett is always slow from what I can tell. They sure aren't slow drafting the money lol.

I have encountered a card like that and it actually made it worth more since others aren't like that. Think of older money and how people collect misprints and ones that aren't cut the same size.
Eta. Did better than me getting a box. The Topps Chrome Baseball box I bought didn't have very many great cards. Base Altuve, Harper, and Cabrera. Bregman rc, Benintendi(sp) rc, pence numbered card, Fulmer rc, Arroyo rc, Correa throwback 1987, Giolito future stars, Hoffman rc, Cain refractor, Dahl freshman flash, seager rc, Lopez rc, winker rc, bell rc, Maeda rc, renfroe rc, Quinn rc, Stanton refractor, a trumbo that doesn't say what it is but it looks like a hologram type, and about 10 more refractors with only Reyes rc to,be anything of note. Also I got to looking the other day and found an original Willie mays I stuck in my moms lock box as a kid.

Here's a survey guys and gals if you don't mind taking 2 minutes to fill it out we can keep this party going with a more informed breaker.

What were your autographs? What does the Mays look like?
Posted on 8/25/17 at 6:14 pm to CRDNLSCHMCPSN11
The survey is anonymous obviously btw. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Doesn't have to be people that have done breaks either. Lurkers and people interested are welcome to chime in. It's on the front post as well.

I think people want breaks where they can get a signed 1/1 of a rookie auto of a Futurw HOF that could be 20k one day. Depending on the draft classes the Judge is hot in baseball and a Sam Darnold would be hot next year. I want to break things like that for the next Lebron

I enjoy the opportunity to get some cards out of packs that I wouldn't buy as an individual. My son absolutely loved following the break this last go round. It helped we had the dodgers, but he had the best time.

Everybody's in the mail as of yesterday. Thank you for getting me your addresses folks that I didn't have.
Got some BGS cards back. My Bregman cards smashed the grading getting a 10 (.5 from black label all 10s ugh), 9.5 with 3 9.5 and a 10, 9.5 with 10 2 9.5 and 9, and my Tribute auto got a 9 whomp whomp. All 4 got 10 on autos.
The 2 Simmons cards didn't fair so well. They both got 9s. Word to the wise. Don't put die-cuts with weird corners in mags. By time I got mine out of the mag I bought it in and into a Toploaders the damage was done. Also, if you have a noticeable imperfection on the card, probably not worth sending in. There was a spot on the crusade /49 you can see in the picture I put in this thread. Got 8.5 surface the rest doesn't matter you can't get higher than a 9.
Regarding survey results and the last break, it's pretty obvious the price range was the problem. I don't think the format was as big a deal, but that 69 was close to out kicking the coverage. Thanks for all that responded and took the time.
There will be a more comprehensive breakdown so you guys can see what the totals were, so thanks again.

I got a pretty slick on card auto for David Robinson last week. Left it and my collection in the fort Worth area last week to avoid storm damage.

The only autos I pulled lately was an Ezekiel Elliott Ohio state card, and a panini LeBron. Got to find out how to do pictures but the Mays is at my mom's house. I just remember it being a mostly yellow background and also have a ted Williams. I've got to get pics of them. But out of the Topps Chrome box I only got the decent ones listed above.
Eta: I think I've become addicted again lol. Plus my two boys. They pulled a dak auto, pujols auto, judge patch and a few more and didn't think they were worth anything. I quickly put those in hard cases lol.

I enjoyed the break. When is the next one?
Posted on 8/31/17 at 5:55 pm to ShamelessPel
Just got the cards. I didn't watch any of the baseball stuff, so those /25 hits were a pleasant surprise.
The Ingram/Magic autos are nice
All of my cards are at my parents place still. I'm going to grab them if I go down there soon and post an album in here.

Hey DS. Nope. Just letting it sit back and simmer a little after the last one.
NBA. It's in a weird spot sitting between 16-17 and 17-18. There's starting to be some really decent deals on 16-17 stuff that could end up being some awesome cheap breaks while 17-18 rolls out and the Immac (today) and Flawless releases finish out 16-17.
Baseball hasn't had much drop in the MSB price range. Definitive dominated the card world for a week or two with some insanely nasty looking cards. We could do some Bowman Chrome maybe. Hobby case is reasonably priced. Triple Threads would be fun if it came down a little.
Football is just not worth it unless you're breaking and selling stuff release day. It just doesn't hold value like the other sports. I do not know why, but a $100 Spectra card is a different value 3 weeks later. I am still not sure if there's been any "on-card" auto mass rookie releases or not. I don't believe so.
Seems NBA and then MLB rookies hold value best across product platforms, new or old.

I have a 1/1 John Wall 2017-18 contenders auto
Have had success with older players from what I've collected since the first NBA break.

I'm ready for another break, I'll take 4 teams
Posted on 10/4/17 at 6:53 pm to gobuxgo5
haha gobux cheers mate.
There's one product I think is getting severely underpriced as it goes along that I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on next. Lots of hits. Spots can be cheap, especially compared to other breakers trying to get full price or even discount on it. It's got Simmons base in it too that can be worth some $$$.
ETA: I was hoping the 17-18 contenders craze lasted longer. 16-17 is dirt cheap and was seeing rise in value without cost associated, but it slowed.

I'll give a brief explanation for the hiatus for everyone.
I out kicked the price coverage on the last break. It was actually a really good deal but only a select few wanted to spend that on a break. I want us to continue to have fun with this for awhile. Perception means a lot. A break having trouble filling looks one way. I didn't want people thinking that's the norm, because I 100% don't think it was based on the survey. Literally only 4 people filled out that price bracket for that break, meaning some of you stepped up out of your comfort zone, and I'm thankful. I figured I'd let things reset a bit. Have everyone come back fresh and hungry to get back to basics, knowing what I do now. I didn't want people thinking it was an interest issue, because it's not. It is certainly not a lack of interest on my part. I'm looking long term here. Come back. Have a sick product at a sick price. Get the ball rolling again. It's not a perception I wanted to linger. And I think when it returns I'll be proven 100% right that not allowing it to snowball into what it wasn't was the right call.
Last break actually went well once we got it up and running. People had fun. Gold Standard was apparently a hit. Let's just say what I want to do is GS on steroids. The more I allow the product to dip, the better I can price point it.
Some survey results:
Sport Interest:
Basketball
Baseball
Football
Price Range:
40-50 seemed to be about that sweet spot, so I want to deliver the goods here for that spot
Capped out pretty hard around the 65-70 range.
Importance:
Autos
Rookies
Rest didn't even really come close
Comments:
No one had anything bad to say, which I truly appreciate. Random comments here and there. Cheap, base heavy was one. Go balls to wall was another (probably not happening lol)
I take yalls money as seriously as my own. I could pick some rinky dink product tomorrow and have it fill for 35$/spot, but it's not gonna happen. I promise we'll be back, soon. Even more giveaways stockpiled. I will stick to mostly basketball and baseball. If there's a cool product I can get stupid cheap for football at a good value (and I do keep an eye out on eBay), I'll pull the trigger. I don't want to leave you guys out. But like I said, the value drops FAST on football so unless it's a WTF price, I don't want people thinking their Christian McCaffrey RPA is a banging hit to see it's a $30 card. That sours people on breaking.
Lastly I'll leave you with my list of hoops guys to go get NOW before the season starts.
Value Bin - playing time on suck teams
Domantas Sabonis - Pacers
Caris Levert - Nets
Denzel Valentine - Bulls
Timothe Luwawu- Cabarrot
You can get these guys bigtime RPAs from National Treasures for ~100.
Stay tuned. We're coming back soon.
