I do know if you are talking the strengthening buffs (Opening Gambit, Comeback, & Last-Ditch Effort), Last-Ditch Effort is considered the strongest of the 3, and especially in Ranked. In Ranked games the buff last into Overtime - and if normal games the last 30 seconds are considered more important than the first.
Comeback can be better than the other two, but that's also assuming you suck at the game

Haha. Yeah, a lot of the ones in Splatoon1 were sort of built around the premise that you die often (comeback, special saver.. or whiever one it was that saved your special meter even when you died, haunt, etc...). In all the guides it would say, "The idea here is that you DON'T DIE a lot, so these shouldn't be of good use." Of course, I died plenty, even when I was an A+ player.
