The only time I ever put hazard flashers on in the rain, it was coming down so hard I couldn't even see the shoulder. Or the hood of my own car for that matter. I had to stop where I was.

It's unnecessary in every other instance.

That's completely understandable. Living in LA. we've all been xperienced sudden heavy rain that blocks vision but it only lasts a short time. It's the people who put hazards on in regular rain and drive 20mph below speed limit

If it was raining so hard that you couldn't see the shoulder or the hood of your own car, what good were your flashers then?
