He asked why the Fed Govt is involved in health care. That's a big part.
As all of the grief the FDA gets, there are some good things that they do. They add a tremendous cost to meds but for the most part they are safe. Is our government's role not to keep us safe?
Take the reimbursement side of healthcare out of the equation, there are plenty of things the government does that levels the playing field in many cases. Unfortunately, nothing they do is very efficient.
