Yes. That and him lying about it for a year. Why is that fact completely glossed over by the lemmings
This is really super easy once you set aside your TDS.

1. He absolutely SHOULD have gone to the meeting. I realize liberals want to pretend that this isn't obvious and true for 100% of politicians in all situations, but he absolutely should go to a meeting where someone offers bad info on his opponent.

2. Why did he lie..........Knowledge of politics? I mean, are we really going to sit here and act like the left wasn't trying to make every meeting with a Russian into collusion?

You don't volunteer information to help your opponent's narrative.

You guys act like you just started following politics this week. Politicians don't openly provide bull shite narratives to their opponents upon request.

Stop the presses.

but being naive is neither crime nor collusion.

not in and of itself, but the outcome of being stupid has led to possibly both.

Why wouldn't we examine this?

Dirty pool? What he did wasn't illegal or immoral. If he had done much worse and participated in actual collusion like the DNC did it still would it be illegal. Though the DNC was paying for forewoman agents to disseminate fake dirt on trump...so the moral issue may be there when it comes to the DNC.

This entire story is silly. I'm still waiting on the blackmail emails from Joe and Mika. Wasn't that the one that was going to get Trump?

Possibly working with foreign nationals to short circuit our democracy? Why would that not be illegal, if done?

yes, it may be. But more than one person or side can be wrong.

That's a whole lotta deflection, man. He thought he was meeting with a Russian lawyer representing the Russian governments support for his campaign. He said he loved the idea. He took the meeting, and he lied about it. Then he got caught. It's that simple.

Only in Trumptasia is that considered smart or savvy or even acceptable.

It's being a hack to recognize that politicians seek bad info on their opponents? What alternative universe do you live in?

He was playing dirty pool
That's sort of the whole point of getting dirt on your opponent. Again, what alternative universe to you live in?

quote:

he got caught
Yep.

But, you asked why he lied about it and that answer is obvious. NOBODY IN ALL OF POLITICS openly acknowledges HOW they get dirt on people.

Come on man. You're not 4 years old.

Which part of this is problematic to you?

Like I said. It's not only acceptable.

It happens hundreds if not thousands of times per election cycle. (and likely every day in between".

Sheesh. You guys are really going to act like all of a sudden, you think politics normally runs like a Monastery.

Oh, my goodness. You bastards are off the reservation if you think including foreign intelligence agencies (possibly) in our election processes is a good idea. Why the fear from people to investigate it.

If you dont fricking like it, do something about he law that is there, a law that is there for a reason.

I voted Trump. But some folks that seem to think the DNC and Hillary need to be raked over the coals, but just want to sweep their sides dirt under the rug.

You mean if a candidate is involved in criminal activities in another country , and our ic doesn't know about it, the electorate shouldn't know?

where did this info come from?

You cant see why the interests of a foreign govt need to stay clear of American elections? Or do you just assume any favors owed are worth paying back on the backs of the American citizen. I suppose you are ok being the cuck to Putin, I never thought I would see the day when such brash Americans would be ok letting the Russian govt influence anything to do with you.
