Are Lacrosse Grange boots still the benchmark for rubber boots?

I've owned a couple of pairs of Granges over the years, and the latest pair is leaking now so I need some new ones. Personally I find them comfortable and generally of high quality, and the places I hunt generally require a waterproof boot so they fit the bill in that regard as well, but I thought I'd at least ask first. What says the OB?

I've gone with Xtratuf rubber boots for years with no issues. They're pricey but hold up well.

Lacrosse knee boots and hip boots are all I've ever owned.

I wash them off with a water hose after every hunt and hang them up on a rack. For me, they last years that way.

If you don't rinse them off and leave them full of mud and folded down, you'll buy a new pair every year.

Hunter boots seem to be great also, but I think they're too proud of those boots

Yeah, but their hip boots rip for no reason now though. Lacross = cheap Chinese-made shite now.

I wear the LaCrosse Aerohead Snake Boots. They're uninsulated, rubber boots that are also snake boots. I love them. They're a little heavier than the granges but not by much. They're extremely comfortable too. I've had them for 2 season now and show no signs of wearing down. They can usually be found online somewhere for around $160.

I would try on a pair of the aerohead series boots (doesn't have to be the snake ones) somewhere before buying though as they run a little smaller than the granges and burlys.

I recently bought a pair of lacrosse boots that starting coming apart after two outings. Went back to where I bought them (knew the owner) to say how disappointed I was and what could be done. He said now they make them overseas and aren't as durable.. Forget where, maybe China.

My old Grange knee boots use to stand up when I took them off. The new ones fold over like a limp noodle.

I want to get a pair of the cabelas breathable-knee boots/convertible hip boots.

Would come in handy in a lot of places I hunt and I'd like my feet not sweating as much. Their dry plus waders held up good for me.

Well, a pair stuck in between your cab and bed is pretty much better than a yeti sticker on your back glass. So you decide.
