It really showed this summer when there was silence about the future of Gentry and Dell. This has to be one of the biggest problems. Benson and Loomis are only figure heads over Dell and Uncle Al. We need someone fully invested in the Pelicans

Danny Ferry should become the GM
Place Calapari President

Exactly, this is a problem that will continue to occur GM after GM, coach after coach. We have to fix the dysfunction at the highest level possible. Something tells me Loomis won't care too much about not being the President (unless it leads to a significant reduction in pay).
However, Loomis won't get relieved of his duties with the Pelicans, unless any combination of the following occur:
- The pelicans have perform awfully for four seasons (which even then there's no guarantee as he could pass blame off to the GM and coach since he has no involvement)
- The saints perform poorly to such a degree that Loomis is fired from his Saints position.
-His retirement
- new ownership
- if there is an extensive amount of public outcry from the national and local media which will apply pressure on the franchise. However, seeing we get no national coverage and sadly little local coverage, I don't see it happening.
