aside from the series so far this season (Houston leads, 7-3).

That seems a little relevant

Without those guys being that effective, they are the Orioles right now: great offense without a lick of pitching.

Non-pitcher wRC+ leaderboard since 1900:

The Orioles sit at 92 this season (24th in majors). Very comparable.

Well yeah. They're the best team in baseball

If we played Houston in the playoffs it would probably go like the season series. Probably get swept and in two of the games we have a lead when the starter leaves in the 6th or 7th and the bullpen allows 7-8 runs.

That, or Houston completely mindfricks themselves because they've never been in this situation before and lose the series.

I've been saying it for awhile, I think Houston is the Texas Rangers of 2010. Damn good on offense w/ solid pitching and a good bullpen. But I think the lack of experience in the postseason will get to them at some point and next year and the one after will be the ones where if they don't win it's a complete bust.

That is why they brought in McCann, Beltran, and Reddick. Only thing that can stop them is running into a hot team and them cooling down late.
I think in a 7 game series Boston will beat the Astros, Boston has a good offense, defense, and enough pitching. They need a bit more power but overall solid

I remember everyone saying Cleveland had no shot against Boston last year. On paper, I agree with you. But come playoff time I'm to the point where I won't be surprised who the hell is in the WS.

Just Beltran has more playoff experience than the rest of the roster, if you don't think that is important I am sorry. They need to have "won" the World Series to make an impact, especially since they've played on winning playoff teams in the past.

Pitched in the WS with the rays and several other years of post season experience I mean other than pedroia (who im an idiot and forgot) and Gardner (who I think the Yankees are a year from being a serious contender) there isn't much more than that and certainly not multiple years like he has.

Elvis Andrus has played in more WS than Price and has been a part of team's that have owned his arse when he's on the mound

And I have no problem saying that Elvis hasn't won shite. Dude can't even get on the All-Star team.

Nearly everyone on this roster has been in a playoffs and many have blown a series. You are overrating the "they haven't been here" card imo

Gomez was legit the worst thing to happen to Houston since Enron

So he created thousands of jobs and brought commodities to consumers? And that's a bad thing?

This would be like the most Astros thing, ever. Even more than 1980 NLCS and 1986 NLCS and 2015 ALDS.
