Do we think Peacock will be the #5 when everyone is back and another starter is acquired, or would he be more valuable in the pen with Fiers in the rotation?

Peacock feels like we're playing with fire a bit. His BB/9 is a career high 5.2. That's bad. He's always had a higher than desirable walk rate but it's up there this year. It's part of the reason he's more often than not been unable to get through 6 innings or more. And you wonder how long he'll be able to pitch around all the guys he puts on base.

I prefer him in the bullpen in the role he played before. But what would yall think about a six man rotation?

Keuchel
Mccullers
Morton
Fiers
McHugh
Peacock

Send Musgrove to the pen as your long man. So long as Peacock continues to pitch effectively, you've got an extra arm and lessening the innings on a rotation with injury concerns.

six man rotation

I'm not opposed, but I think just keeping our usual 8 man pen would be better

I wouldn't be surprised (if the division lead stays like it is) that we utilize the 10 day DL a lot in the 2nd half in an effort to keep everyone fresh down the stretch

I even forgot about McHugh. But if you go to a six man wouldn't it be better to let Musgrove try to figure it out and still have Peacock in the bullpen?
