It sounds as if there's a new baseball commitment...

...his name is Logan Gragg, and he's a 6-6, 190-pound lefthanded pitcher out of Connors State JC in Oklahoma.
11-2 with a 2.50 ERA this year. 86.1 IP, 68 hits, 20 walks, 82 strikeouts. Threw six complete games in 14 starts.
The downside is, this guy wouldn't help next year. He had Tommy John surgery in May. So this kid would be a take for 2019, where you'd figure he and Walker would be laying in wait to take over for Hess and Gilbert as your Friday-Saturday guys.

Mainieri said we'd be bringing in 11 new pitchers this year, but I've only been able to find 10. This must be the other one.

Yup, it appears that CPM and the other coaches are scrounging the JC's for pitchers. Can't hurt.
