Florida 1997

LSU was a big underdog
Florida had a 25 game SEC win streak
Florida was the defending national champion
Florida beat LSU 56-13 the year prior and 9 straight
We hadn't won a big game like that in years (never had beat a team ranked #1 before)

For the people that were there, Tiger Stadium has never quite been like that before or since IMO.

I loved on the TV broadcast that Spurrier expected to be up 14 points, not down 14 and had trouble calling plays.

Wow, had to program the VCR in those days and hope the game before didn't run over.

Yes!!!!
At first glance I picked the '07 game.....
BUT.....
I had the pleasure of meeting Herb Tyler.....
Top 5 QB in LSU history (just my opinion)
I told him that the talent LSU has now (that was 5 years ago) was far superior to his team.
He quickly reminded me of the players on that team!!!!
Best guy you ever want to meet!
A Winner!

LSU vs UF 97 was an awesome game and atmosphere, but your statement is inaccurate.

Well not exactly, imo. I was there for Fla97 and USC79. LOVED BOTH, but as great as the Fla97 game was, USC79 was truly magical. It's difficult to really discribe.
