Difference between CNN and Fox

Fox reports the news with a hard bias to the right. The fact such bias exists is a given. But the way in which they apply that bias is still just in the way they report the news. Correct me if I'm wrong (I don't watch much of either network), but Fox is not really out there trying to create news.
CNN also reports news and with a bias to the left. But I feel they go above and beyond merely reporting the news in that they actually attempt to create their own news about their political enemies. Just look at their stance towards Trump. In this way, I feel as if CNN view themselves as political operatives and not just reporters, whereas Fox, biased as they are, are more concerned with reporting the news from a conservative standpoint.
CNN are much more activist. While Fox is a useful tool of the Relublican Party, there's a line of separation there I feel. CNN and the Democratic Party are officially sworn allies and all Chinese walls are virtually non-existent anymore.

Both are slanted.
One flat out makes shite up.

Not gonna argue your perception of CNN, but if you think segments of Fox News were not activist against Obama then I don't know what to tell you.

There is no line of separation, they carry trump's agenda full throttle.
What FoxNews is better at is spinning shite. CNN comes off incompetent on the spin factor.

I know Trump does not necessarily equal Right but that is how the political landscape is aligned right now. That is, if you are reporting against Trump you are more than likely reporting against the Right.
A recent Harvard study indicates a 52% negative reporting toward Trump for Fox News and 93% negative reporting by CNN. So Fox News is actually pretty "fair and balanced" according to this study and pretty centrist...not hard right.

Fox gets the hard news right a high percentage of the time. But from a journalistic standpoint, they also fall way short of the neutral ideal in certain time slots. Fox and Friends can at times be a CNN-like, but from the right. Shepherd Smith interjects with his liberal lunacy almost daily like he thinks he has an opinion show. The 5 pm Bret Baer hour is the best hard news on television. And of course the opinion hours from 9-11 are just standard Conservative opinion-based shows and not objective journalism..

CNN will retract when necessary and will fire people for fricking up.
Not so much for Fox News.

The difference is fox is one and CNN is one of everybody else.
Liberals cannot stand one dissenter because their message is shite

Fox produces their news like news and their entertainment like entertainment.
Their news reports are fairly straightforward and guys like Wallace and Baier are very well respected. Their entertainment personalities are big, boisterous like radio shock jocks - always fighting or joking and with plenty of eye candy.
Even at their worst moments during the Obama years, I never saw Fox News pull a CNN/MSNBC and report news as being bad or wrong for America. At the very least they'd report, then toss to an analyst to do that.
It's like there's no distinction between the hard news and the op-ed on CNN, because they don't have anyone particularly credible reporting and no one particularly entertaining to bloviate. Am I supposed to laugh at Anderson Cooper or cheer/boo at something he says? If not, then why is he offering his milquetoast opinion out there?

Fox was incredibly unwatchable at times during the past 8 years. They didn't stoop to making shite up or threatening meme-makers, but Barry couldn't even tie his shoes without Fox assembling a panel to discuss how un-American his knot was.
Their saving grace is that Obama IS in fact un-American.

You are wrong. The news shows on Fox actually report the news as news. Their pundit shows of which they have many does have a right bias but they generally have at least one person form the left on their shows.
CNN does not report the news anymore. Every show they have is pundit reported "news"
CNN also does not admit that any of their pundits are liberal/leftists even though everyone of them are.
Fox doesn't hide the fact that their pundits are right leaning.

Shep just opened his show with editorializing. I agree with him, but editorializing nonetheless.

both suck but CNN takes the suckage to another level. They pathetically obsess over shite, try to create "news" and will flat out lie if they think it will push their agenda. They don't hide the fact that they are an arm for the leftists. I thought they would have learned a lesson when they got exposed for being the Clinton News Network but instead, those regressive retards doubled down.

CNN didn't used to be this bad though.
When did they turn into MSNBC?

I was listening to both Fox and MSNBC this morning. While discussing Trump and Putin's impending meeting, MSNBC was stating that Putin was extremely and thoroughly prepared, payed very close attention to details, etc. They stated Trump gets his information from the TV and likes all of his information in bullet points and on one single page.
The interviewee countered with that simply not being true. She said Putin likes his 14-point font, "meat and potatoes" information and also gets a great deal of information from TV - in particular his own station.
I flipped to Fox. It of course, had a pro-Trump spin, but at least it was tapered down and they discussed Trump's flaws as well.
