but I'll post here first. Never been to Europe before and I know I need an a/c adaptor to charge the ipad/iphone. What do I need to get for my wife and I to charge up the electronics? Thanks guys.

A lot of hotels have USB ports that will charge your devices just fine. For plug-ins, all you really need is a voltage/plug adapter. They sell them at Office Depot or any travel / luggage store. If you are trying to run a hair dryer or something you will need a heavy duty one.

I just brought an adapter and plugged it in, then I had a couple of portable batteries I charged every night as well.
My adapter allowed me to charge up to 4 devices at once.

Yeah just get an adapter and a power bank. We have one of those multi country slider ones, and it works great. A lot of hair dryers and what not are dual voltage now.
We always rely on hotel hair dryers, but my SO has a hair straightener that is dual voltage so we don't have to lug around a converter.

Yep, just adapter for these. There's some real cheap and small ones on Amazon for like $2-3.
